Page 155 notes Robert REEVES as an Ensign currently serving with the 15th (The Yorkshire East Riding) Regiment of Foot.
He has 1 year service on Full Pay and purchased his commission as Ensign on 21 September 1860. He is not yet assigned to either the 1st or 2nd Battalion of the Regiment.
The 1st Battalion is currently in Dublin and 2nd Battalion in Malta. (page 154)
The 1st Battalion returned from Gibraltar on 6 June 1857 and 2nd Battalion embarked for Malta on 25 November 1858.
Page 425 notes that R Reeves purchased his commission as Ensign in 15 Foot in place of Ensign Grant on 21 September 1860.
Ensign Grant purchased a commission as Lieutenant in the same regiment in place of Starke and Lieutenant Starke purchased a commission as Captain also in the same regiment in place of Capt. Eliot who retires.
