Will of Stacy R Reeves
Sept 16th 1867
In the name of God Amen
I Stacy R Reeves of County of Putnam & State of Indiana am well stricken in years and of feeble health though of a sound mind do make this my last will and testament.
1st I wish if practicable after my decease to be decently intered in the Church yeard by the remains of my deceased wife
2nd I bequeath to my son William A Reeves the South half of the South West quarter of Section thirty four (34) Township (15) fifteen North of Range four West (4) Situated in the County of Putnam State of Indiana for said land discrbied in this bequest the said William A Reeves shall pay to the executors of my Estate the sum of Nine Hundred dollars $900.00 it being the amt over and above his dower in my estate said money to be paid in five annual payments after my decease
3rd I will and bequeath to my son George W Reeves the sum of Twenty five dollars $25.00 it being his remaining interest in my estate
4th I will and bequeath to my son Samuel G Reeves the sum of five dollars $5.00 it being his remaining share or dower on my estate
5th After the foregoing requests have been paid and settled all my other moneys and personal property shall be equally divided between my lawful heirs herein named James N Reeves Mary A Coffman Elvira Landes and the heirs of Elvira Jones deceased.
6th I will that my son Samuel G Reeves shall be my executor and shall have power to collect and disburse all moneys belonging to my estate and settle with all persons having business in the same.
7th I will that there shall be no Probate in the aforementioned estate

State of Indiana Putnam County SS Be it Remembered that on the 29th day of Oct 1869 Charles W. Dicks one of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will and Testament of Stacy Reeves late of said County deceased personally appeared before me H C Priest Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of said County in the State of Indiana and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court upon his oath declared and testified as follows that is to say: That on the 16th day of September 1867 he saw the said Testator sign his name to said instrument in writing as and for his last Will and Testament and that this ? at the same time heard the said testator declare the said instrument in writing to be his last Will and Testament and that the said instrument in writing was at the same time at the request of the said testator and with his consent attested and subscribed by the said Charles W Dicks and Reason Dicks in the presence of said Testator and in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto and that the said testator was at the time of the signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid of full age (that is more than twenty one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory and not under any restraint or coercion as the deponent verily believes and further deponent says not

State of Indiana Putnam County SS I H C Priest Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of Putnam County Indiana do hereby certify that the within annexed will and testament of Stacy R Reeves has been duly admitted to probate and duly proved by the testimony of Charles W Dicks one of the subscribing witnesses (?) that a complete Record of said will and of the testimony of said Charles W Dicks in proof thereof has been by me duly made and Recorded in the Record of Wills of said County
