In 1850, Samuel was age 56, in Monroe, Indiana, born in Pennsylvania. With him are wife Sarah (55), children Samuel G. (19) and William A. (15), along with Elizabeth Dicks (76) and Keziah A Palmer (14).

Stacy wrote his will on 16 Sep 1867. He mentions his deceased wife and his sons William A. Reeves, George W. Reeves, and Samuel G. Reeves.
