Although the only children named in the will of Samuel Reeves were Mahala, Stacy and Samuel, Jr., Beulah Reeves parentage is documented in her marriage records. When Beulah married John Browning on 11 Feb 1828 in Mason County, Kentucky, consent was recorded by Samuel Reeves, father of the bride, and lists her mother as Ann Reeves.

Samuel Reeves' second wife Anne was born 1786 in Virginia and died after 1860 in Putnam County, Indiana.

Samuel Reeves was a witness on 1 Feb 1802 to the consent signed by James and Mary Fegans for their daughter Elizabeth to marry John Dicks in Mason County, Kentucky.

Weik's history of Putnam County, Indiana lists Samuel Reeves among the newcomers for the years 1829 and 1830.

2 June 1845 - 2 Aug. 1850, Will of Samuel REEVES, Sr., Putnam Co., IN.
Wife, Anne D. REEVES to have benefit and income from property during her
lifetime and at death of said wife, property to be sold and proceeds divided
among the children and grandchildren.
Dau.: Mahala REEVES (only child mentioned).

In both the 1850 and 1860 census of Putnam County, Indiana, widowed Anne D. Reeves was living in the home of her son John C. W. Reeves.
