The probate of Samuel's will states the "testator departed this life on the twenty second day of August 1847." The will only names his son Thomas J. Reeves, but mentions his wife and some other children.

Research Notes

His family is probably the household of Sarah Reeves living in Marion, Putnam County, Indiana in 1850. Sarah was age 47, with children George (17?), Earline (16), Mary E. (13?), and Monroe J. (11). Next door was the household of Thomas J. Reeves (21?).
