This Indenture Made this Twenty second day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and Seventy four between Wm. C. Reeves & his wife Sarah L. H. Reeves of the County of Walton and State of Georgia on the one part and Leonard Braswell also of said County and State of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Wm. C. Reeves and Sarah L. H. Reeves for and in Consideration of the sum of Three hundred and twenty dollars & Seventy eight cents to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained, sold and Conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Leonard Braswell his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land Situate, lying and being in the County Walton & State aforesaid of the following description to wit Fifty acres more or less being part of Lot NO. 146 in the 3rd district of said County beginning at a Chestnut Stab Corner on the original west line of said lot No 146 & No 125, thence running through said Lot No. 146 N. 60o E. 31 chains & 65 links to a lightwood Knot Corner on the west line of Stephen Felkins land thence running along said Felkin’s line in a Southeastern direction to a Rock Corner between lands of said Felkin & Thomas K. O’Kelley; thence in a western direction back to the said original west line of said Lot No. 146 to a Rock Corner, thence in a Northern direction to the beginning Chestnut Stab Corner, bounded on the South by land of Thos. K. O’Kelley; North by J. W. Weatherford; east by Stephen Felkin and on the West by land of James Daniel. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Leonard Braswell his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights Members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging ot theme and their and their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Wm. C. Reeves and Sarah L. H. Reeves for themselves, their heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Leonard Braswell his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title therof against themselves and against the Claims of all other persons Whomsoever. In Witness Whereof the said Wm C. Reeves & Sarah L. H. Reeves have hereunto set their hand and seal the day and year first above written
