County of Lancaster                    } We Jesse B. Mobley, James B Reeves and Nathaniel Williams Commissioners appointed to set off the Homestead to Mrs. Nancy D. Horton and her infant children Miner, Alice, Lewis, Hollis & Charley Horton applicants; we being duly qualified before J. W. Hunter Trial Justice hereby return that on the 17th day of March 1882, we went as directed upon to Estate of Evan T. Horton and set off unto Mrs. Nancy D. Horton widow and her infant children Miner, Alice, Lewis, Hollis, and Charley Horton, as a Homestead the following described property, to wit A tract of land lying and being in Lancaster County and State aforesaid on the waters of Little Lynches Creek bounded as follows: on the North by lands of W. S. Horton and others, on the South by Thomas Reeves and on the West by lands of the said Thomas Reeves commencing at a cedar near the road running up said road North-west _ Little Lynches Creek, to a corner on a rock in said road, thence West to a corner on a tree, thence South to a corner on Thomas Horton’s Spring Branch, thence to a White oak corner, from the Branch to the White oak is a southwest direction, and from thence Southeast to the beginning corner, containing one hundred and ninety acres more or less, which we have estimated as of the value of Eight Hundred ($800.00) Dollars. We further return that the personal property of the said Evan T. Horton decd, we have set a part to the said Mrs. Nancy D. Horton widow and her infant children as aforesaid, as a Homestead the following articles to wrt.
