The State of South Carolina
Know all men by these Presents that I J B Reeves of Lancaster County and State of South Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of Six Dollars to me paid by J. T. Blackmon of the County & State aforesaid, have granted, bargained, sold and released and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said J. T. Blackmon all that piece parcel or tract of land situate lying and being in Lancaster County containing one-half acre, beginning at the Public road North of his residence running W. thirty five yards, from thence seventy yards S. From thence thirty five yards E. To the Public road bounded on the N. E. By the said J. T. Blackmon and W. L. Blackmons land on the N West & by J B Reeves.
Together with all and singular the rights, Members, Hereditaments and Appurtenances to the said Premises belonging, or in anywise incident or appertaining, to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said J. T. Blackmon his heirs and assigns forever, and I do hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, to warrant and forever defend all and singular the rights of the said premises unto the said J. T. Blackmon, his heirs and assigns against me and my heirs and all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same the same, or any part thereof.
Witness my hand and seal this 23 day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty three.
