The State of South Carolina
Know all men by these Presents, that I, J B Reeves of Lancaster County and State of South Carolina, for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars, to me paid by W. L. Blackmon of the County and State aforesaid, have granted, bargained, sold and released and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said W. L. Blackmon all that piece, parcel or tract of land situate lying and being in Lancaster County, on the drains of Little Lynches Creek containing Ninety five and a fourth acres, more or less; beginning at a pine corner N 26 ½ W. 46.75 to a rock corner, thence North-east 60x30x40. to the Camden Road down the road to a small red oak, thence 13 C. 25 links to the beginning corner. Bounded on the N. by Frank Twitty land, on the East by Public Road, on the South by W. L. Blackmon’s land, on the West by J B Reeves land.
Together with all and singular the Rights, members, Hereditaments and Appurtenances to the said Premises belonging, or in anywise incident or appertaining, to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned, unto the said W. L. Blackmon his Heirs, and Assigns forever, and do hereby bind myself, my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, to warrant and forever defend, all and singular, the said premises unto the said W. L. Blackmon his Heirs and Assigns, against me and my Heirs lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof
Wintess my Hand and seal this 2 day of Jany in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine and in the (blank) of the Independence of the United States of America

Horton and made oath that he saw James B Reeves sign seal and deliver the above Conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned; and that he with W. R. Duren in the presence of each other witnessed the due execution thereof.
