The Richmond Climax
Wednesday, September 9, 1903Former Richmond Man Figures in a Fight in Tennessee
A fight occurred recently at the camp of the Mason-Hoge company at Baker's Hill, Tennessee, in which Henry Wheeler, son-in-law of Mr. James Reeves, of this city, figured prominently, but escaped uninjured. Mr. Ware, superintendent for the company, was probably fatally wounded by a negro workman, who became enraged at being ordered to work. Mr. Ware would have been killed had his assailant not been driven to the woods by fire from Mr. Wheeler's gun.
