The Current Story for Group 07

The members of DNA Group 7 are the descendants of Edward Reavis who is believed to have been born in England around 1680. Edward Reavis was recorded in the land records of Henrico County, Virginia circa 1723 throughout the 1730s and migrated to Northampton County, North Carolina sometime during the 1740's.

His descendants spread from Northampton County primarily to Surry, Rutherford and Buncombe counties in North Carolina from which they continued to migrate westward to Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri and beyond.
