All of the above children were named in a division of slaves from the estate of Waters M. Dunn, in addition to Madison Kinnebrew whose relationship is unstated but was probably a nephew, son of his sister Elizabeth. Harrison K, Martha A. Elbert B., Columbus and Selens Dunn, were named in guardian records from the estate file of Waters M. Dunn, Sr., indicating they were under the age of 14 years.

Sons Gatewood, Waters, William and Harrison Dunn were also named in the 1835 will of their grandmother Winifred and left legacies.

The estate of Mary Copeland for which probate began in 1861, was administered by her son Waters M. Dunn, Jr..
