Newchurch, IoW, Hampshire

Location

The ancient parish of Newchurch stretches approximately eleven miles north to south, from The Solent at Ryde to the English Channel at Ventnor, with an average width west to east of just over one mile. The village of the same name sits near the centre of the parish, some five miles south east of Newport. • St. Michael and All Saints, Swanmore, an ecclesiastical parish formed from Newchurch in 1864
