Stoke by Clare, Suffolk
Location
Stoke by Clare is an ancient parish located in the very south of the county of Suffolk and with the River Stour forming much of its southern boundary, it borders Essex. As it's name implies it is a neighbour of the Suffolk Parish of ClareStoke by Clare is approximately thirty miles west of the county town of Ipswich with Colchester, Essex some twenty-five miles to the south east. Sudbury is approximately twelve miles to the east, on the road to Ipswich. Haverhill, which straddles the Essex/ Suffolk border lies about five miles to the west.
Parish Church
