Surrey, England » Shalford Shalford, Surrey Location Shalford is an Ancient Parish located in the west of Surrey. It is approximately three miles south of Guildford and twelve miles west of Dorking. Parish Church The Parish (CofE) Church is St Mary, Shalford, which can be seen here on Google Street View. Parish Registers "A History of the County of Surrey: Volume 3" (pub 1911) simply notes 'The registers begin in 1564, but there are no marriages till 1581. There is a gap between 1651 and 1653, and the marriages are lost from 1754 to 1782.'
