On the 15th Feb 1856, John Gill deeded to his daughter, Elizabeth H. Gill, 54 acres in Wake County on the east side of the road leading to Parkers Bridge which was part of the tract of land which John Gill had received from his father Jesse Gill. Recorded in Wake County Deed Book 21, Page 81.

There is another deed recorded in Wake County Deed Book 24, Page 55, dated 30th of January, 1863 in which John Gill deeds to his daughter Elizabeth Ann Jackson, wife of L. W. Jackson, 50 acres on the west side of the road leading to Parkers' Bridge which was also part of the lands left to him by his father Jesse Gill. This appears to be the same tract that John Gill had conveyed to his son William J. Gill prior to his death.
