Narrative
Confusingly, in the wills of both of her parents, her father Robert Hicks' will written in 1788 and her mother Sarah Reeves Hicks' will written in 1797, Elizabeth is named as Elizabeth Hicks. However, the marriage of Betsy (or Betty) Hicks, a nickname she was most commonly called in family documents, is recorded in Granville County to Valentine Tudor on 17 Mar 1784.An inventory of the Valentine Tudor Farm Cemetery in Madison County, Kentucky where Valentine and his wife are buried lists the grave of a Caroline Hicks (sister-in-law to Valentine). This is an indication that the Betsy Hicks Valentine married did not belong to the family of Robert Hicks and Sarah Reeves. See inventory of this cemetery at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tudor-124.
Much research is needed on this family.
