Child of Sarah Hicks and Thomas Bell:

Sarah Hicks married Thomas Bell in Granville County, North Carolina in August of 1763; however, the exact date is questionable. It is listed alternately as 3, 6, 7, and even the 11th of August so it is unclear what the correct date is. The marriage record does indicate that consent was given by Robert Hicks, father of the bride.

February 1, 1778--Robert Hicks, Sr., deed of sale to his son, Thomas Hicks. If said Thomas Hicks die without bodily heirs, the property should go to Robert Bell, son of Thomas Bell, his wife Sarah Bell, and grandson of Robert Hicks, Sr.

She was apparently deceased before her father wrote his will in 1788 for there is no mention of Sarah or any grandchildren with the surname Bell.
