Children of Elijah Reaves, Sr. and Elizabeth Wilson:

1. George K. Reaves, b. c1812
2. Elijah Reaves, Jr., b. c1815

In the 1850 census of Halifax County, Elijah's birth is listed as 1770; however the 1840 census gives an estimate of 60-69 years of age and the 1830 estimate is in line with that at 50-59 years. George Reaves had a son over 16 years of age but under 21 in the 1796 personal property tax list of Halifax County which must have been Elijah.

There is an 1834 deed in Deed Book 42 at Page 183 of Halifax County in which Thomas and Elizabeth Wilson conveyed fifty acres to Elijah Reaves. Thomas and Elizabeth Wilson are probably the in-laws of Elijah Reaves, although it is possible that the deed is to Elijah Reaves, Jr. from his grandparents.
