Mrs. Jas. Reaves, who lives in South Columbia, is in feeble health; she has seen the flowers bloom more than twice forty times. She enjoys visits from her friends. Her husband, Mr. Reaves, who is now in the 84th year of his life, is blind, yet he bears this affliction with cheerfulness.

Uncle Jimmie Reaves, as he was familiarly and affectionately called, died last Sunday, the 3rd, at his late residence on South Main Street. He was eighty-five years old, and had been blind for several years. He was a Mason and Odd Fellow, and an honest man. Rev T J Duncan and the Masons conducted the burial services. The interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
