Narrative

Jesse appears to be married with two sons on the 1840 census. It's possible the marriage record for Jesse Reeves to M. J. Barganier is his second marriage. His oldest son was born 1825-1830 so it's possible the marriage record could be for a Jesse Jr.

In an 1835 deed record in Wilcox County, Jesse and his wife Elizabeth sold forty acres of land situate in Wilcox County.
