Sarah Duncan Reaves was deceased when her father wrote his will in September of 1799. For reasons unstated, Edmund Duncan stipulated that the offspring of his deceased daughter Sarah were to receive no part of his estate.
Jesse Reaves appears to have remarried by the time the 1800 census was taken for that year he is recorded in Duplin County with a household that includes 1 male ‹10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 26-44, 3 females ‹10 and 1 female 26-44.
In a deed dated 7 Nov 1803, Samuel Herring of Duplin County conveyed 39 acres on Brooks Swamp adjoining Stephen Reaves to Jesse Reaves, of Duplin County. Jesse Reaves, again described as of Duplin County, sold 500 acres on Brooks Swamp to Thomas Brown on the 20th of February, 1804 recorded in Wayne County Deed Book 7, pg 600. The land was also adjacent to a tract owned by his brother Stephen Reaves.
The Jesse Reaves named in the following Jones County, Georgia deed records is believed to be Jesse, son of William Reaves of Wayne County, NC.

Tear, being the part on the N.side of Crooked Creek, adj. corner lots 162 and 161 and 163, McKinzie's line, lot 164, said Reeves and Duncans corner to Barefield's corner; wit.
