There is no known information regarding John Reaves other than in Barren County, Kentucky and Allen County which was formed from Barren in 1815. John was recorded as a taxpayer in Barren County beginning in 1810, continuing through 1813. After the formation of Allen County from Barren, John was then recorded as a taxpayer in 1816 and 1817.

Whether he died circa 1818 when he disappears from the records of Allen County is unknown.
