When Edward Reavis married Mary Haddocks in Surry County in 1795, his father Jesse Reavis was bondsman for the marriage.
When Mary Haddocks Reavis' father William (Hattox) wrote his will in Rowan County in January of 1811, Edward Reavis was already deceased because his will mentions purchases he made at the sale of Edward Reavis and that the amounts were to be deducted from any legacy for daughter Mary.
Mary Reavis is recorded as head of household in the 1810 census of Rowan County NC. She was living in the next household to her father William Haddocks.
