Benjamin Reeve of Southold wrote his will on 3 Feb 1842 and it was proved 24 Mar 1842. He mentions his wife Joanna, sons Daniel, Richard S., James H., and Henry and daughter Amanda Reeve. The probate also mentions Hannah Horton, wife of Barnabas B. Horton, Bethiah Cox wife of Samuel Cox, Esther Clark wife of Silas H. Clark, and Fanny Cox wife of John Cox as heirs. Fanny and John Cox were living in Oyster Bay, Queens County and the rest in Southold.

Joanna died 24 Jul 1853. Their son Barnabas is buried in the Mattituck Pres Church Cemetery along with both parents.
