The probate documents for his father state he was living in Dodge County, Wisconsin. The History of Orange County, New York states that he died in Philadelphia. We find him living in Philadelphia in 1860 where it states he was born in Orange Co., NJ (sic). It states his son David was born in Wisconsin.

June 29-In Philadelphia, Benjamin F., son of David Reeve, deceased, late of Middletown, aged 42 years.
His Philadelphia City Death Certificate state she died 28 Jun 1860 and that he was born in Middletown, Orange County, New York. He was buried in Odd Fellows Burial Ground.
