Children of James Reeve:In 1804, James was living in Deerfield township, Cumberland County when he sold some land that he and his brother Benjamin were willed by their father. Benjamin died without issue so it fell to James to deal with the land.
In his mother's will, Edmund Reeve is described as the natural son of James.
James Reeve testified in Salem County, New Jersey on 29 Feb 1843 for his brother Joshua's Rev War Pension Record, including the following facts:
He was "seventy eight years of age, and is a brother of Joshua Reeve of Seneca County New York"
"Joshua is older than himself, that there was two or three children of the family between his said brother Joshua & himself"
