Narrative
Jeremiah describes himself as "of Barking in the County of Essex Seaman." He was sick when he wrote his will. As a seaman, he would commit "my body to the Earth or sea." He gave everything to "my loving Brother Thomas Reeve of Barking in the aforesaid County of Essex Bricklayer," whom he also named executor of his will.Jeremiah is not listed in the Barking parish register. He may have died at sea, given the statement in his will.
There appears to be a deed from Blackburn Poulton to his brother, "Thomas Reeve, of Barking, bricklayer" for 3 messuages in Barking, dated 12 Sep 1734.
