The children's births are listed in the Green Street Monthly Meeting records. Indicating the parents place of residence shows that John and Sarah were of Hopewell, Cumberland County 1815-1818 and of Greenwich, Cumberland County 1821-1831.

In 1827, John and Sarah were still of Cumberland County when they sold some land they had inherited from Sarah's father, Jonas Freedland.

According to a summary of the Mark Reeve family contained in the HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF FENWICK'S COLONY, John Reeve removed to one of the western states.

From the Fairfield Monthly Meeting at Hendricks County, Indiana held 19 May 1836:
A certificate was read and accepted for John Reeve and his minor children (namely) Charles Elizabeth F Ellen John and James F Reeve from Greenwich monthly meeting of friends Cumberland County New Jersey held 31st of 3 mo 1836.

The marriage record for his son Charles from 24 Mar 1842 states that John was of Hamilton County, Indiana.
