• (1708) Sarah Reeve buryed, Affidavit made by Hannah Knight before Mr Jenifer vic de Horndon (Nov 19)

Although his burial is the only direct reference to this John Reeve found so far, the entry states he was John Reeve Sr. Given that there are no other John Reeves in Standford-le-Hope besides this John and the son of the widow Sarah, this appears to be the father. Given that the widow Sarah names a son John in her will, this John Reeve Senr is presumably her husband and the father of her son John.

Sarah's will names a daughter "Susanna Sparrow the wife of Peter Sparrow." Susanna is also mentioned in her brother John's will and the will of John's wife, both of which state she was their sister.
