On the 1881 Census John was 24 and a border at 2 Crystal Court Crescent, Wells Road, Lewisham. Head of House was Baker John Ward 60. John along with two other male boarders were recorded as Bakers.

In 1891 John was 33 and living at Wolsey Bridge, Bulcamp, Suffolk with his wife Harriet and children Jane E (12), George (11), Jessica C (9), Ellen H M (7), Emily (6), Clara (4), Florence M (1) and John W F (7months). John was working as a Gamekeeper.

In 1901 John was 44 and living at 122 York Road, Lambeth with his wife Harriet and Father in Law George Ayton. John is recorded as a Baker and Employer.

In 1911 John is 54 and living and working as a Stockman at Tilbrook Farm with his wife Harriet and daughter Hilda C V (14).

Death: John Reeve died 1925 and was buried in London.
