John Charles Reeve, son of John and Sarah, was baptized 6 Aug 1826 in Mells, Somerset, England.

In 1860, a Henry W. Reeve, b. age 24, likely a younger brother, was living with him.

His passport application for himself and daughter Charlotte gives his birthdate and mentions the ship Emily his father came on to the US in 1832. It also says his father was naturalized in Cleveland Ohio 17 Apr 1838.

He was licensed as a Physician in Dayton, Ohio in 1896.

Note that his obituaries published at death say that he was born in Mells, Somerset, south of London, June 5, 1826. His obituary describes him as a well-known surgeon.
