Narrative

The probate papers for his father from 1854 state that Joseph was living in Athens, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. We find him there in 1850 living as a student with his sister Frances Canfield, age 24. Oddly, the census says he was born in Massachusetts.

Trinity Episcopal Church records from Athens state that Joseph B. Reeve of Athens died May 19 and was buried May 21, 1879, age 53.

A civil war pension was applied for by his widow on 31 Dec 1879.
