Moses is named as a son on the will of his father David in 1769. A deed dated 1786 from his brother David states that Moses was deceased.

Moses with his wife Lydia mortgaged some land in Cumberland County in 1771. Lydia was given administration of that Moses's estate on 20 May 1773 in Cumberland County.
