It's not clear whether Joseph, Esther, & Ann were children of Puryer or possibly children of a previous marriage of Mary's.

Puryer Reeve is listed in the 1835 Pension roll, living in Cayuga County, New York, age 80, placed on the roll 20 Jul 1833.

Puryer was in the household of Mannassah Reeves in 1840 listed as a Revolutionary War veteran, age 90.

Headstone inscription reads: "Puryer Reeves/Died/Jan. 12, 1842/aged 93 years"

Manassah Reeves of Sempronious was granted administration on his estate 19 Sep 1842.

Puryer Reeves was a private in the company of Captain Reeves of Col. Fanning's Regiment in New York for two years. He testified of his service for a pension in 1832. He was aged seventy eight years and was in Cayuga County, New York. He enlisted in 1775 in Capt. Paul Reeves company in Southold, Suffolk County, New York. He enlisted again later at Saybrook, Connecticut as a volunteer in the Continental Army for three years and served two of them. He also commented that his service records sometimes spelled his name different ways but the correct spelling was "Puryer." The file includes a letter from Esther Reeves, wife of Manassah Reeves of Sempronius, stating he is the son of Puryer and asking if there are any outstanding payments that could be sent to them.
