Her birth and baptism were recorded in Bocking Independent Registers:
  • Rebeckah Reeve, Daughter of Jonah Reeve and Elizabeth his Wife, of the Parish of Bocking in the Couty of Essex (born on the Twenty eighth Day of October 1778) was baptized on the twenty seventh day of November 1778 By the Revd Thomas Davidson (Piece 1500, folio 14)

She is named in her mother's will as "Rebecca Terling (the wife of John Terling)."

She was of Haybridge and John was of St Peter's Maldon when they married in 1817.

She and John were living in St. Peter, Maldon, Essex in 1841. John was an Ironmonger. Fanny, Clark, age 10, was living with them.

NOTICE TO DEBTORS AND CREDITORS
All Persons having any demand against the Estate of the late Mr. JOHN TERLING, Ironmonger, &c. Maldon, are requested to send particulars thereof to Mrs. Rebecca Terling, Maldon; and all Persons indebted to the Estate, are requested to pay the same to the said Rebecca Terling, within one month from the date hereof.
Dated this 23rd day of January, 1849.

In 1851, she was living alone, age 72. The census states she was born in Bocking. She was living in Southminster, Maldon, Essex.

There is a death registered for Rebecca Terling in Maldon in 1q 1854.
