This appears to be the Righteous Reeves who came through New York City on the ship Powhatan in 1830. He is listed as a farmer, age 20.

The 1850 census lists him as age 40. However, in his naturalization record from 1848, it states he was born in 1807 in Norfolk, England.

The Wayne County Herald includes an article in 1853 stating that "A few days past one Righteous Reeves who was formerly known in Manchester, this County, as Jones, made oath before Justice Farnham, of Texas, that he feared William Barragar, of the same township, would do him harm." It appears that they discovered that Reeves, "alias Jones", after losing his wife "about two years ago, he took board with William Barragar's - while there he was suspected of being too intimate with B.'s wife." He had to find board elsewhere but was later found sneaking about Barragar's property.

In 1880, "Richeous" Reeves was listed in Manchester, Wayne County, Pennsylvania as a boarder in the household of Joseph Robinson.
