Marriage from Hornchurch, St Andrew, Essex Parish Registers:
  • 1848. October 1. Samuel Reeve | full age | Bachelor | Labourer | Hornchurch | John Reeve | Labourer (to) Sarah Bland | spinster | Hornchurch | Robert Bland | Labourer

Baptisms from Hornchurch, St Andrew, Essex Parish Registers:
  • 1848. Dec. 31 | Marianne | Samuel & Sarah | Reeve | Hornchurch | Labourer | D G Stacy Vicar
  • 1848. Dec. 31 | Maria | Samuel & Sarah | Reeve | Hornchurch | Labourer | D G Stacy Vicar

In 1851, Samuel was age 35, born in Writtle, living in Hornchurch with his wife Sarah and children James (10), Sarah (8), Mary (2) and mother-in-law Mary Bland (76). This is odd given that Samuel and Sarah were bachelor and spinster upon marriage in 1848. It's not clear whose children James and Sarah were. Perhaps they were adopted or actually visiting relatives. So far, nothing further has been found concerning them.

In 1861, Samuel was age 58, living in Hornchurch with son James (22). This is clearly the same as James is listed as born in Hornchurch. Samuel's birthplace is listed as unknown and his age is about 13 years off of what the 1851 census recorded.

Burial from Hornchurch, St Andrew, Essex Parish Registers:
  • (1868) Samuel Reeve | Hornchurch | May 17th | 68 yrs | T. Henry Griffith Vicar
