Samuel Reeve of Earls Colne, Essex wrote his will on 26 Sep 1761 and it was probated 24 Oct 1761. He mentions "my nephews Joseph Reeve of Belchamp Saint Paul in the said County yeoman and Samuel Smith of Tallow Wratting in the County of Suffolk or Cambridge yeoman." He also makes the following bequeathal to nieces: "To my nieces Mary the wife of John Ballard of Pentlow in the said County of Essex yeoman Susannah Mott of the same place widow and Abigail the wife of William Searle also of the same place yeoman the sum of Thirty pounds a piece of like lawfull money of Great Britain, To Elizabeth Cooke of Earls Colne aforesaid Widow the sum of Ten pounds of like lawful money."Burial from Earls Colne, St. Andrew, Essex Parish Registers:
