SAMUEL B. REEVE,
HENRY REEVE.
In 1850, he was living in New York City. His brother Henry was with him. His wife is named Amelia on the early census records. However, Henry Vail Reeve's death record states the mother was Adelaide S. Reeve. The 1855 census indicates it was a first marriage for both S. B. and Amelia. The census also states he was born in Suffolk County. The probate record for Adelaide from 1891 gives her full name as Adelaide Sophia Amelia Reeve.
Samuel B. Reeve, age 54, born in New York, is listed in an insane hospital in Hartford, Connecticut in 1860. Amelia is listed as head of household in Brooklyn with the kids.
Samuel was back with the family in 1870 in Brooklyn.
