According to Oliver B. Reeve's obituary, he was a son of Selden. Additionally, the obituary of Abner Reeve states he was a brother of Oliver Reeve and Mrs. W. Frank Smith.
Selden's Death Certificate information obtained from Brookhaven Town Clerk states that he was age 86, born in New York City, New York and was son of Abner Reeve and Mary Reeve. Father's birthplace was given as Aquebogue, New York.
