The birth registrations for Golden, Rebecca, and Walter all give a mother's maiden name of "Rookes." The best fit for this appears to be the marriage of Thomas Reeve to Rebecca Ross in East Tilbury. It doesn't state whether she was a widow or spinster.

In 1851, Thomas was age 49, born in Good Easter, living in East Tilbury, with wife Rebecca (40) and children Thomas (15), Emily (13), Rebecca (8), and Walter (6).

Research Notes

There were two Thomas Reeve's baptized at Good Easter on 6 Mar 1800, one the son of William and Mary Ann Reeve, the other the son of Samuel and Lucy Reeve. Given that he named a daughter Lucy, it's more likely he was the son of Samuel and Lucy.

Some of this family may have moved to the neighboring parish of Gravesend, Kent.
