Uzal was married on 10 Mar 1813 according to his father's family Bible, but spouse is not named.
In 1820, Uzal and his wife Lucetta were of Northfield, Richmond (Statton Island), New York when they sold some land to a William Reeve, possibly his father or brother.
An 1826 deed reveals that Lucetta was formerly Lucetta Ross and heir to Aaron Ross.
His headstone reads: "In Memory/Of/Uzal Reeve/who died Jan 23, 1840,/In the 51 Year of/his age/Also/James H/Son of/Uzal & Lucetta Reeve/who died Jan 12 1842/In the 4. Year of his age."
His wife's reads: "In Memory/of/Lucetta/widow of/Uzal Reeve/who died June 6th 1847/In the 50th Year/of her age."
They are buried in the First Presbyterian Churchyard at Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey.
His headstone records a death date of the 23rd. His father's family Bible records the 24th.
In August Term 1847, Caleb B. Reeve, Aaron R. Reeve and Joanna O. Reeve petitioned the orphans court for a guardian. They were over 14 and stated they were the children Usual Reeve, deceased. Reuben VanPill was appointed guardian.
