The Australia Death Index has death registered 1888, age 69. Death occurred in South Melbourne, Victoria. Parents were William (Reeve) and Hannah Ford. The Victoria Death Index states his father was William, mother Ford, and spouse Lucy Ann Bore. Daughter Lucy's Death record for Australia states where parents were William Reeve and Lucy Bore which further confirms this as the same family from Essex.

The Friends of the late Mr. WILLIAM REEVE (for many years messenger at the city surveyor's office) are respectfully invited to follow his remains to the place of interment, the St. Kilda General Cemetery. The funeral will leave his late residence, 77 Napier-street, South Melbourne, on FRIDAY, 24th August, at half-past 2 o'clock. THOS. RENTLE, Undertaker.
