The unrecorded estate papers for the William from Essex County describe him as of "Newark in said county." Hannah was granted administration on his estate on 22 Sep 1845. Samuel Chamberlain under oath stated that "at the time of his death he resided in Academy Street No 88." Furthermore "that this deponent is acquainted with the family left by said Reeves and that he had living at the time of decease Marcus D Reeve since deceased, Horace Reeve, Mary Reeve, David Reeve, Martha Reeve, Lucius Reeve, William Reeve, and Edwin Reeve." This statement was given in 1847. There is an orphans court division mentioned which took place in 1848. There is also mention of a Jesse Reeve with guardian Elizabeth L. Reeve who had some stake in the property.

There is an Ann, age 24, born in England, living with them in 1850. This is probably not a Reeve, but rather a servant in the household or a widow of one of the children.
