The births of all four children are registered in the Chelmsford District with mother's maiden name Gibbs. The marriage was registered in 2q 1843 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Sarah was born 6 Sep 1822 at Aylesbury, the daughter of John and Mary Gibbs, according to an index of independent birth certificates.

MARRIED.
29th ult. at Aylesbury, by the Rev. Wm. Gunn, Mr. Wm. Reeve chemist, of this town, eldest son of Mr. Abraham Reeve, of the same place, to Sarah, second daughter of Mr. Gibbs, of Aylesbury.
In 1851, William was age 30, born in Springfield, Essex, living in Melford, Suffolk, with wife Sarah (26), and children Agnes (6), Mary Ann (5), John William Archibald (4), and Caroline (1).
William was buried in the Rookwood Cemetery in Rookwood, New South Wales with his wife Sarah and son John. The large headstone reads:

WHO DIED MAY 27th 1877.
AGED 57 YEARS.
"He giveth His beloved sleep"

BELOVED WIFE OF THE ABOVE
WHO DIED NOVEMBER 13th 1877.
