In an 1822 deed, William F. Reeve and his wife Martha of Fairfield in Cumberland County sold some land which had belonged to William Foster who devised the lands "unto his daughter Lydia who intermarried with Peter Reeves from who the above said lands together with other lands descended to the grantor." In a later deed from 1836, William F. and Martha, then of Greenwich in Cumberland County more inherited Foster land and states that Lydia Foster died intestate and "the lands so devised to her, descended to her three children, Elizabeth, Lydia F. and the said Wm F. Reeve."
