Currently the only record of Alfred Reeves is the 1840 census of Stokes County, North Carolina. In that census, he is listed as the 29-29 year old head of a household containing himself, one male child under 5 and a wife also aged 20-29 plus two males slaves.

This individual is obviously John A. Reves, son of George B. Reves whose middle initial "A" was only recently discovered to stand for "Alfred".
