Baptist records from Sandhurst, Kent, state the following:
"Alfred Reeves son of George Reeves and Maria his wife of the Parish of Sandhurst in the County of Kent was born Decr 8th 1832 registered Jany 14 1833 by me James Eates Protestant Disenting Minister."
This appears to be the Alfred who arrived in New York on the Typhoon on 19 May 1851.
Saginaw News, 18 Jun 1889
Alfred Reeves died at the residence of his son-in-law, Eugene Hunt, Sunday, of paralysis. He was born in Kent county, England, Dec, 8, 1831, and has been a resident of Saginaw for the last twenty years, being for many years foreman of the Titabawassee Boom Company. He leaves a wife and two children, Mrs. Eugene Hunt, of this city, and Frank Reeves, of Bay City. The funeral took place from the residence of Mr. Hunt this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The remains will be taken to Detroit for burial tomorrow morning.
The Michigan Death record states he was born in England, son of George and Marie Reeves and that Marie (or both) lived in Detroit. He was a Carpenter by trade. He is buried in the same cemetery as his uncle Thomas Reeves. Headstone states he was born 1832 and died 1889.
