In August 1834, Ann Reeves married Charles OSMAN at the Parish Church of St Andrew, Mottisfont, Hampshire.

Ann Osman has yet to be positively identified on the 1841 census taken on 6 June. See Research Note 1 below.
At the time of the 1851 census, on 30 March, Ann & Charles Osman are to be found in Mottisfont, living near to the church. She is 38 years old and claims birth in Dibden, Hampshire. Along side her husband Charles, the household comprises their children Sarah (14), Charles (11), Ellen (8), Ann (5), Emily (2) and five month old Henry.
A decade later and the 1861 census shows Ann and Charles Osman living on Mottisfont Street in Mottisfont. Ann remains consistent about her age and place of birth. Only their three youngest children, Emily (12), Henry (10) and Edward (8) are living with their parents.
On the 1871 census Ann and Charles Osman again appear on Mottisfont Street in Mottisfont. Their sons Henry (20) and Edward (18) are still living with their parents, as is their grand daughter Ellen Louisa Osman (5). See Research Note 2 below.
Ann appears on the 1881 census as a widow. It is likely the death of her husband Charles Osman is that recorded during the June quarter of 1878 in the Romsey Registration district. He was 67 years old.
At the time of the 1881 census, Ann appears as head of household on Mottisfont Street, Mottisfont. She indicates she is 66 years old and again claims birth in Dibden, Hampshire. She is in receipt of parish relief.
On the 1891 census, Ann remains on Mottisfont Street and is now described as living on her own means. Her age remains consistent, now 77, but her place of birth seems to be Soberton, Hampshire.
Ann Osman has not been identified on the 1901 census. It is likely hers is the death recorded during the first quarter of 1891 in the Romsey Registration District, age 78.
Research Notes
(1) As noted above, Ann and her husband Charles have yet to be positively identified on the 1841 census. Their oldest surviving child at that time was Sarah and she appears as a four year old in the household of her maternal grandfather James Reeves at Cadnam, Hampshire. It is probable that Ann's husband Charles Osman is the individual who appears in Mottisfont (HO107, Piece 0400, Book 13, Folio 8 reverse, Page 11). He is age 30 and an Agricultural Labourer. The only other person residing in the same dwelling is Jacob Tubb, age 20. This leaves Ann and their young son Charles (who is known to have survived to adulthood) unaccounted for on the June 1841 census.
(2) The GRO Index to Births records Ellen Louisa OSMAN's during 4q 1865 and her mother's maiden name as "——"
